HISTORY AS A GAME OF DIFFERENT TIMES
/THE TECHNOLOGY OF HISTORICAL MODELLING IN SCHOOL CLASSES
AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES/
Abstract: History classes, generally considered to represent a virtual time-space dimension for a direct contact with important people, events and processes from the past, may also be developed in the light of the concept of „History Games“ that may take different forms. History teaching could be considered as modelling of historical processes with the participation of the students, where their roles may change in accordance with the situation. In this way, different times taken together with their specific historical identity could be easily transformed and interchanged. History classes may then be continued in different extracurricular quests for true historical truths, where the adventures in the times of history, experienced in the form of game models, may encourage the students to „play“ with much more advanced intellectual and scientific goals than those considered usually in the conventional educational standards of the State. There are various options proposed for the navigation in the different historical times in terms of specific topics, respectively in the school classes and in extracurricular forms. There are also different pedagogic situations presented, in which students change roles – from being led in the field of history, they become partners and even mediators of new historical products.
